Steph Neufeld

Steph is a competitor to the core and is dedicated to the sport of triathlon and to long-distance running.
 

It’s not uncommon for people to shake their head at her crazy workout schedule. More than that, Steph thrives on getting others to join her and is constantly convincing others to get involved in athletics from learning to swim to full Ironmans. Steph has an extensive resume of running and riding behind her. In 2015, she finally achieved the ultimate in triathlon by winning her age group at IM Canada in July and qualifying for IronMan World Championships in Kona, Hawaii after missing out by one spot in 5 IMs.

 

Race Highlights

Not only has she cycled across Canada and Australia,  in the last 5 years has completed 11 full IronMan events (PB 10:53), 10 Half IronMan events (PB 4:52) including 70.3 World Championships, eleven marathons (PB 3:04), twenty Half Marathons (PB 1:28), and eight ultra-marathons including the Blackfoot 100 km, Fast Trax 80 km, and the Canadian Death Race 125 km.

 

A typical year for Steph includes a lot of racing. For example, in 2014 alone, Steph completed the Phoenix Marathon (3:04- 4th female), IronMan Los Cabos, IronMan Boise 70.3, IronMan Coeur d’Alene, IronMan Canada and the Edmonton Marathon (3:13 and 3rd place female).

 

As well as being a Triathlon Coach for the WeEndure Racing Team, Steph is a spin instructor at World Health and formally ran the triathlon program at Blitz Conditioning, as well as a certified yoga for athletes instructor.  Professionally, Steph has a M.Sc. in Ecology and is a Watershed Specialist. Steph is passionate about pushing boundaries and inspiring others to accomplish big goals. Steph’s enthusiasm is contagious and she’s excited to be an ambassador for Element, who pay care and attention to her bike. and other triathlon gear needs.

Races for 2016: Paris Marathon, Vancouver Marathon, Ironman Canada, Ironman Coeur d'Alene, a few half and full marathons and a couple of Granfondos!
