Elise Gaudet-MacKenzie

One of the Element owners, Elise still does a few triathlons a year "just for fun".

In her first year in triathlon, Elise could only train or race if she could borrow a bike.  We've been through many bikes since then and still looking for more!
 

After more than 20 years in triathlon, Elise and her husband, Cam MacKenzie, have enjoyed more than 40 Ironman races between them, including multiple trips to the Big Island.  It's been a beautiful ride and there are still many bucket list races to do, and lots of places to go.  In winter 2016, Cam and Elise managed to get away to Honolulu, HI for a short vacation, and found a few challenging rides and runs, including climbing up Tantalus mountain for fun, and participating in Sharon's Ride, a short century ride along the south-eastern coast of Oahu.  

 

Race Career Highlights:

 

3-time Hawai'i Ironman Finisher

Podium finishes in 4 Ironman races, including 2 age group wins, 1 each in Florida and Canada

15 Ironman races (but just 14 finishes due to one nasty bout with the flu) 

Multiple Half Ironman distance finishes, including 2nd in age group at Challenge Penticton 2015, and 3rd in age group at 2015 70.3 Los Cabos.
