Fort McMurray, AB

I am a Firefighter/EMT in Fort McMurray, relocated from Saskatoon in January 2012.  I caught the triathlon bug doing the 'Kids of Steel' triathlon when I was much younger, and have had the goal of finishing a full Ironman by the time I turn 30.  I have done several Sprint and Olympic distance races, but this past year, decided to push for my goal of completing my first full Ironman.  I was registered for Ironman Whistler, but due to the Ft. Mac fires and my firefighting work, I was unable to train adequately. However, I did compete in the inaugural Ironman Canada 70.3 in Whistler, and finished well enough to qualify for the 70.3 Worlds in 2017.  I am also registered to race Louisville 2016 Ironman.

Race Results:

Ironman Canada (Whistler) 70.3 2016 (6:12:21)

Kelowna Apple Sprint 2013 (1:26)

2016 Race Plans:

Ironman Louisville

Ironman Canada 70.3

I am very excited and honored to have won a spot in Kona 2016 (via Subaru Canada nomination)

Its been an incredibly busy past month with buying a house, and racing Louisville Ironman after the fires changed my plans from racing the Whistler Full.  I have been in full training mode and will report back after Kona!
